Q: Homework help please ... just can't get my head around this ... i need to provide instructions on how to Install a printer how to install the driver just can't seem to work out the difference ... any help greatly appreciated ..... see i am not real smart!!! lol
A: A Printer is called a PERIPHIRAL.or any thing that is acutaly added to you computer to help you perfom task.and all perifirals are usally hard as you can throw it againts the wall....NOW when you intall your printer..it tells your computer that its picked up a new perifiral it reckonises that its there...Now the drivers are a set of instructions..that comunicate bettwen your computer and your printer to perform task you ask it to like..print a page with out drivers computer and printers cant comunicate,, some times on some perifarals you dont need drivers ..but the majority do.. if you havent a driver for a perifiral you can actually down load them from the web...copy it on a disk so you will alwasy have it.. that is about it.. its ok you keep at it the more mistakes you do the more you learn..i knew sqaut when i got my first pc... hopes this helps..............added..when you download a driver from the wed..make sure you get the right driver for the right model even is its one year diffrence and you gott he new model..every perifiral has it own instructions./if you boguth this printer new ..you should have the install disk .and the driver usally on seperate disks ..some time they are on the same disk ..you just have to select from the menu on the disk..
