Q: I just purchased a new computer with Windows Vista. I cannot install my HP Officejet 1110. Is there a patch I can download to make my printer compatible? My printer isn't the PSC, but I was able to download a driver for a compatible model and my printer works now! YIPPEE!! Thanks Al!
A: That's one of the biggest complaints/issues with Vista is that most anything over a few years old (software and hardware like printers) are not compatible and there are no plans to create updated drivers/software by the manufacturers as they would rather you purchase newer stuff anyhow and it is not worth it to them to invest their time and money on old equipment support for Vista. It's really made a lot of people upset and angry at Microsoft for not making their software backward compatible. But, it looks like you may be in luck. If your printer is an HP PSC 1110 click on this link to get your driver for your version of Vista: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=90788&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=90777 Best of luck.
