Q: i've added a new cartridge & did nozzle head cleaning test. then i check my ink level and from the fullest, it drops a lot to about 40 %left... my printer is Epson Stylus C20UX..
A: Epson won a lawsuit allowing it to make printers which refuse to recognize most compatibles. Since then, it and other inkjet companies have raised the price of cartridges and cut back on the amount of ink. They used to give about 24ml of ink. Now they give 12. Doing the math, they are charging about $5,000 a gallon for ink! And you thought gas was high! I had a customer print a single 4 x 6 photo on his brand new printer and it was already out of cyan. A head cleaning reduces the ink by about a third. Fortunately there are some compatible cartridges which work well for the printers I have. In the US you can try http://ccs-digital.com/ink.asp
