A: If you buy the Samsung CLP300, CLX2160, CLX3160 of the CLP500, then you will need to have a full set of cartridges installed. However, there are generic toner cartridges being made for these printers now and the price is a lot less than originals. Printer manufactures cannot, by law, void your warranty if you don't use original cartridges.
