Q: Am trying to print a deed with a red and blue border in Microsoft word. The pages look fine in regular view but when I do a print view, the outer red border on the bottom is missing. The help file says the document border is outside the printer border but it does not say how to make the corrections needed to print the file correctly. All I can change is the Page border in WORD. How do I change the print borders for the printer?
A: Your printer cannot print closer to the bottom than 1/2 inch. No way around that. However, if the doc you're trying to print has its bottom border more than 1/2 inch from the bottom, you can print it. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/189889 My suspicion though, is that the page cannot be printed as is on your printer unless you reduce the size of the printable area.
