Q: I am going to florida soon to care for my grand-daughters so their mom can go on a work related trip.one has a lexmark printer with no cd or instructions that needs to be set up and the other has a used laptop that is slowing down.the adults are busy right now and i want to help them.are there any simple instructions for doing all this without having to be real intelligent which i certainly am notso if anyone can help i would be a very grateful Nana.
A: You will need internet access to get a driver, installing this on the PC and then plugging in the printer it should automatically install itself. Go to www.lexmark.com Find the tab "Drivers and Downloads" highlight and click "driver finder" Then at the bottom of the screen choose the operating system you want to install the printer on. (you can find that out by right clicking my computer and choosing properties). You then need to click download now and click the yellow bar that appears to allow the download. When you get this file to the computer you need the printer installed on open it and follow on screen instructions.
