How do i stop glossy photo paper jamming up my printer?

Q: My printer is a HP Deskjet F380 - when I use other papers it works perfectly fine even acetate but it never seems to feed properly with photo paper.

A: Your printer was not made to print on glossy paper. The printer has little fingers called a "pick-up". This finger will work normal on normal paper because it's not as smooth as the glossy paper. Look at it like this. You have a car that was made to drive on the road. The tires of the car is the "pick-up" and the road is paper. If you change the road to ice (which is really smooth) the car will skid and not grab the surface as it's supposed to. Try another printer designed for photo printing.
