Q: Does any one know of an affordable color laser printer which can take heavy paper such as 100 lb cover and above (140 lb Bristol and 170 lb index)!
A: Of course it depends on whay you want to print. This is important, but without that info, look at an OKI colour laser printer. www.oki.com.au Always check the specs on the printer - it will tell you what the alternate trays accept (and they are normally the trays that have a straight paper path so that the paper doesn't bend around. I don't know the lb conversaion, but many OKIs take up to 200gsm which is hefty. Please check the cost per page before you make any decisions. the issue is rarely the purchase price and often the ongoing costs of the printer. www.thecartridgefamily.com.au will email you the cost per page analysis of a couple of chosen printers if you email them through their website. Other than that, Xerox printers are hardy and take heavy paper, but they can be expensive to buy. I wouldn't look at any other brand (again depending on what you want to print)
