Q: The lights will continually cycle and will not do anything else. Any help would be appreciated
A: Either way, you have a problem on your hands, but: It's normal for the lights to continually cycle while the printer is re-initializing itself, such as when you first turn it on, etc.. I would suggest unplugging it from both the computer and the power, give it time to fully flush any on board memory, (5-10 minutes or so) -- then plug it back in. If it does the same, it's time to contact HP or the store you got it from and look for a replacement. If all 5 lights are blinking at the same time, it indicates a miscellaneous hardware error -- again, I'd suggest unplugging it for a period of time, and plugging it back in -- you'll need to replace it as well if that doesn't help.
