Q: Going through the Found New Hardware Wizard i get an error saying 'the RPC server is unavailable'. This pc i'm installing the printer on does not have internet connection.
A: Some Lexmark printers need to be installed into a computer which's got access to Internet. However, you can download the driver on this address: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:537:0:0&searchLang=en&os_group=WinXP&target= Just click "Download Now", on the right hand side of your screen and the download should begin. This is the latest driver for this model, available at Lexmark's website in the US (the UK's website is schite). Run the software and follow the instructions. Leave the printer connected, but switched off. The wizard will ask you to turn it on when necessary. When installing, the "Found New Hardware Wizard" will start, but don't worry. Leave the Lexmark's software do the job and the wizard will be closed when finished. You don't even need do click cancel. Just let it go. Hope it helps... Good luck...
