Which cables do I needed?

Q: I have just been given an Epson Stylus Colour 600 printer and was hoping to connect it to my PowerBook G4 laptop, but as it is a old printer I don't know what cables i need... The printer has a port for a male parallel cable and a 8-pin mini circular thingy. My laptop doesn't have parallel port but it has, usb ports and an ethernet port so is there a cheap-ish way to connect the printer using those ports? Thanks for any help you can give me

A: The 8 pin "mini circular thingy" almost sounds like the power connector, but if it isn't, it is okay. However, you can still make it work with a parallel to USB cable converter. I have listed one at the link below, but you do not have to get it there necessarily.
