Q: I have a canon i965 I keep getting the message in a red box saying that the used ink tank is full anyone know how I should empty it as I can't find any tank
A: It's not really a tank per se. It's the foam pads that are used during the cleaning process. They are on either end of the printer along the path the print head travels. Canon wants you to take it in for service but you should be able to take those pads out and wash, dry, and replace them. Then you'll have to clear the code. This is the procedure that I found. I have different Canon printers so I can't test to make sure this one will work. A. Entering Service Mode 1. Turn off printer 2. Hold down resume then press power button. 3. Keep hold of power and release resume. 4. Press resume twice. 5. Wait for printer to stop ftzing. 6. You should now have solid green but if you get 1 green and 8 orange lights alternating press resume once. 7. You should now have a solid green. B. Reset Procedure 8. Now press the resume button 4 times. (the light colour will alternate with each press) 9. You should now have a solid green. 10. Press the power button to register the reset. 11. Press the power button once more to switch off. 12. Press the power button to switch on again. The printer should function correctly
