Q: OK. I asked my mom's boyfriend if I could pllleeeeeeeasse use his computer and printer to do my wedding invitations ( my wedding is in October) since I can't afford to have them printed up professionally. He said no! I only asked him because I don't have a printer and he does. My fiancee doesn't either , and his mom doesn't either on her computer. I don't want to ask my sister in-law because everything with her ends up a mess. my question here is, aren't printers made to be USED? I even offered to pay for ink but I don't think my mom relayed that to him. anyway, it wouldn't be that many invites, around.. ( maybe after his mom gives me the last that need to go on the list) 60 or so. Would printing that many invitations really be that hard on a printer? his is a printer/scanner combo too. What do you think? I'm not having my wedding videotaped. The pictures are more important to me. anyway, I agree that he's on the wrong track and adding more stress for me. ( on top of planning this wedding and the fact that mom is terminally ill)
A: 60 pages is NOTHING for any consumer printer. Most ink cartridges are rated for ~500 pages anyway. That means roughly $6 in printing costs for 60 pages (roughly - excluding paper). I just think that someone is avoiding having to help out. You can always grab a printer cheap from Wal-Mart, or go to an office store and have them printed (fairly cheap too).
