Is there a way to stop a printer printing in the middle of a long document?

Q: My printer is an HP Deskjet 3920. Often I need to print only the last 1-3 pages of a large document (of about 20 or more pages). And many times I forget to indicate the page numbers and it starts printing the whole document. I try to cancel the print and cannot. Of course I don't put paper. But the printer light indicates that it needs paper. Whatever I do I cannot get the printer to forget the old printing task. Even after I restart the computer, the printer would not have forgotten the old print task. Sometime, if it is a document of 10 pages or less, I let it print so that I can use it again. But it feels foolish to do so. And what if it's a document of more than 10 pages? Is there a way to get around this problem?

A: on the printer icon in the bottom right corner where the clock is ...click on that right click and the file and click on break operation or cancell.........or u cna turn of your print or take out the paper
