My network printer show as offline every time I switch it on. How do I manually restart my network printer??

Q: The printer is a Samsung CLP-600N. Also, is it possible to reset it so the problem stops occurring?? It never used to be a problem, but we switch it off each night and then first thing every morning it shows as offline. Unfortunately, we can't leave it on overnight. The printer has always worked fine. I believe it to have a static address, which can be reassigned manually using a command prompt, but I don't know the commands to type in!!

A: How does the printer get the IP address? You may need to set it as static. If the printer is set to get ip address from DHCP then it may be that the IP address is changing everytime you turn the printer on again in the morning. therefore the printer will not be picked up by the pc as it will be expecting a different IP. If you set the printer IP address as static and give it an IP address. Then set this in the printer settings on the PC/PCs then this should be found as soon as you turn your printer on again in the morning. Hope this helps Sharpman
