Q: I have had two Epson photo printers and they do fine for a little while, but very shortly after first use, develop black smudges. Then, eventually, the feeder will not feed the thicker paper.
A: Look at the HP Photosmart series that takes the HP 02 cartridges. HP OfficeJet Pro Series that takes the HP 88 cartridges (K5400 is one of the printers) or the Canon Pixma line of printers that uses the $5 black and the #8 colors. All of them are well built and have good print quality.
