Q: I am using MS Office 2007 and my printer is HP Deskjet F380. The problem is everytime I am trying to print a word document with page border, the bottom border is not printing. I dont have problem on other borders only on the bottom border. I already adjusted the margin and the border size but still i cant see the bottom border printing. PLease help what to do.... Thank you! Thanks you for all your answers... wht i did is that i edited the margin size at the bottom. My printer can't read/print the characters at the bottom for 0.5" margins. i changed it to 0.55" and its ok now! Thanks!! ^_^
A: Chances are that either the paper size you're using doesn't match your Word settings or the printer isn't able to print close enough to the foot of the paper to print your border so you'll have to make the border a bit shorter. First check that your printer is set to use A4 paper which is the Australian paper size. To do this, in Word, select File, Print, Properties and check that A4 is the size paper your printer is set to use. You should also set your document up for A4 paper by choosing File, Page Setup, Paper Size tab, choose A4 from the list and click ok. If this wasn't the problem and the border still won't print then the issue is more likely that your printer can't print the border so close to the foot of the page. To solve this you must alter the margin settings by choosing File, Page Setup, Margins tab and adjust the setting for the Bottom margin by increasing it slightly. Then select Format, Borders and Shading, Page Border, select Options and change the settings for the Margin Bottom. It may help to set it to Measure from Text rather than Measure from Edge of Page. It will take some fiddling to find the right combination for your paper and printer combination. However, the point is that it will work if you preservere with it. So, make a change, check the results carefully in Print Preview and keep doing this until you can see all the borders clearly. Usually if everything looks ok in Print Preview, and your currently selected printer is the printer you'll be printing to, then it will print ok on the printer. When you get it to work, take note of the settings you've used to you have them available next time.
