Q: Can someone tell me the following about DDR2 Ram? What it does. How does DDR2 Ram affect a motherboard? Who are some manufacturers? Please explain, not just links to Wiki. Thank you.
A: 1st off, ram is memory faster than a hard drive, but its an electromagnet so when you turn off your computer, you lose the data on them. Kingston, pny and corsair make ddr2 ram. ddr2 ram is faster that the old ddr ram but slower than the new ddr3ram. You can only use ddr2 ram on motherboard with ddr2 slots. The difference between ram and a hard drive is the ram works with watever youy are cuurenty using. Thin of ram as a desk, with all your current project, and a hard drive as a filing cabinet, witha ll your recorded things you arent using.
