Q: My hard drive on my laptop is almost full, but my laptop came with a built-in 'data drive'. What files can I move over to the data drive? For instance, if I moved the Windows Vista 'Pictures' folder over to the data drive, would it still show up on my desktop like it normally does? My data drive is empty because I wasn't really sure how to utilize it. Thanks, RC, I did what you said and I freed up a lot of space.... I was kind of wary about moving the 'Pictures' folder so I'm glad I didn't.
A: The best option will be to create another folder on the data drive, let's say called Pics2 , then create a shortcut on your desktop to it, If you just move your My Pictures, it will probably break things.. once you create the new folder, then you can put new photos there, or just copy what you have on the My Pictures to there
