Q: Sometimes while i am working on my PC everything stops and the screen goes off but the PC still working but everything comes to a complete halt. It is slow too. and it doesn't run a deskcheck when it doesn't shut down properly. I have changed all the software and some components of the hardware too. but these three problems Can anyone tell me what causes this. 1- RAM 1 GB 2- I did the format it's still the same so i bought a new hard drive 3- What is the OS and the Service Pack 4- I also changed the power sply 5- I suspect one of three things - a software - the motherboard - the Viga 6- My tech already gave up she said it's possessed. by the way thanks guys you are really helping me.
A: How old is your PC? Also, how much RAM do yo have? Memory is a key factor in running the operating system as well as programs on your PC. If you don't have enough RAM/Memory to run your computer it will run very slow and freeze when it's trying to do too much. Find out how much RAM you have under "Control Panel" / "System" and see if you need more.
