Q: The @ sign is where the " is and vice versa. I don't know where the pound sign is. I have tried control panel/languages/keyboard but it makes no difference, unless I am doing something wrong. Can someone tell me...step by step how to get the standard English keyboard back please?
A: All you need to do is change the default language from English US to English UK. The instructions below are for Windows XP - Windows Vista users click on the link in sources belo for more help. I had the same problem with my keyboard. Click on Start, click on Control Panel. Click on Regional and Language Options - there you will find a drop down box - click on it and choose English (United Kingdom). Should be fine now.
