Q: Hello, i am currently using an Acer Aspire 1640 with 512mb RAM I have just installed Windows Vista HOME BASIC, and all the time the physical memory (RAM) is being used up alot, basically its always being used about 80%, you never get lower than that. So of course when i come to play a game, there is not much memory left to use for it, as its all being used on the operating system. Now i currently have 2 x 256mb modules in there, and am going to change one of the 256 modules for a 1gb module, so in total i will have: 1 x 1GB 1 x 256MB Now could someone give a rough estimate of how much of the memory would be used up then, and if it would be enough to play basic games etc. As i said, with 512mb RAM it uses 80-90% all the time, how much would someone estimate it uses with 1GB+256MB Thanks so much!
A: I'm on Vista HB and I've got 1 GB of RAM intotal and my system runs fine. I am always playing games and stuff so 1GB + 256 MB will definitely be enough and have a low percentage. x
