Q: Hey, I recently built a computer and finally got everything working... and I have no sound... I have my on board audio drivers installed and what not... but my head phone slot won't work. Any ideas? Thanks
A: Press the Windows key + Pause, and open the System Properties. Click on the Hardware tab, click on the Device Manager button, scroll down to Sound, Video and Game Controllers, and check to see if the drivers are working correctly. If you need to reinstall the drivers do this, First shutdown, remove the sound card. Reboot, remove the drivers via Device manager. Reboot again, install the drivers from the driver CD. Shutdown, replace the card, reboot, and windows, will load the drivers you just installed. If you do not have the CD, go to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers.
