Q: My built-in microphone on my windows Xp laptop is not loud enough. When I record I can just barely hear myself. I have to scream to make it actually make a sound when I do the test microphone thing. I put the microphone volume setting all the way up and the PC volume all the way up and all the other volumes are on max. What is wrong and how can I fix it? This is a very nice laptop with good sound systeming, so I don't think its the PC's fault at all. Besides the hardware JUST got replaced.
A: built-in microphones rarely offer good quality, so I think it would be the best to invest into better external microphone.
