Q: ok 10 points for whoever gets this. Here are the symptoms (yes I also have modern-ate experience with computers): *My computer cannot standby *Its not in safe mode *If i open bit lord it closes without reason about 5 seconds after *my windows install shield isn't working *My debugger isnt working *Panda antivirus and zonealarm firewall cannot detect any viruses (2 wer deleted a few days ago) Ok.The msn and bitlord now works but I forgot to mention that when i try to standby my computer it mentions my driver.Ive tried to reinstall the windows installer but it didnt work.Im running on a 2002 xp.nothing so far has worked
A: Maybe your windows profile is corrupted. Log in as Administrator Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR ID]" Rename the folder with your ID on it to "YOUR_ID.OLD" Log out and log in again as yourself. This will create a new Windows profile for you. Verify that your applications work. Then you can get your data from your .OLD folder. E-mail me if you need more help.
