Q: I run Windows XP When I try to defragment or analyze my computer, a message appears saying: Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on volume (C:) Please run Chkdsk /f. But whenever I try to run Chkdsk /f. a window appears for like a fraction of a second and then disappears, nothing else happens. I can't think of anything else. What should I do? thanks in advance ;)
A: You have to restart the computer in order for Chkdsk to run in XP since it can't run without full control of the C: drive.
