Q: When i turn on the switch to my PC, the starting fan comes on, but then nothing else happens. The screen doesn't display anything and the starting fan keeps going. Does anyone know what is causing this problem?
A: I presume you are talking about a desktop. check Ram by swapping or removing, remove any dialup modem cards. If still not turning on, unplug CD/DVD drives, hard drive and any other devices. Check or reseat the processor. After checking throroughly if it refuses to start it could be motherboard. When things are plugged in, make sure they are pushed in properly.
