Q: I'm building a computer and everything is in and hooked up except a processor. I don't have the money for it yet but i was wondering if my build worked so i tried to start it up without the processor but nothing turned on. Is this because i didn't build it right or because there's no processor. Thanks.
A: Here is the answer, they call it a motherboard, but if you read closely some of the old timers call it a circuit board. If you leave part of the circuit out of the circle you have no total connection to complete the circuit. Leave out the CPU, or the Ram and you have an open circuit. I know the others were right also, but I thought you might want a good explination of why...
