what matters more a good graphics card or cpu?

Q: if i want to play a high end game does it mean that i need a great processor or a great graphics card. Now i have a 2.33ghz core 2 duo and a geforce 7300 512mb andi still am getting low frame rates on even older games. so do i need a better cpu or graphics card? if you could explain why that'd be great thx i have 2 gigs of ddr2 ram

A: your processor is freaking awesome. core 2 duo's are very powerful processors. your gpu is absoulte crap.. get a radeon 4850. its better than the 8800GT, GTX, GTS. its $160 on newegg.com. i have a 2.3ghz Athlon64 x2 4400 with a Radeon 4850 and check out my videos on youtube of and crysis on all high @ 1680 x 1050. . http://www.youtube.com/user/amorgan93 You need a new GPU. Your processor wont have to try to play the high end games. Heres a GPU 4 ya: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102747 and yes you need at least 2gb RAM.
