Q: Hello there , I am experiencing a problem with my PC which has windows XP installed , whereby when I boot in safe mode it boots OK with no problems but when I boot normally I get to see the desktop boot but then after a few seconds the screen turns black/ stanby mode and it displays that either " out of scan range " or " activate by using PC "
A: If you recieved a diagnostics disk with your machine, run that, or it may be built into bios. Sounds like a video card problem. Are you using a video card? If so, switch to the analog onboard video and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, then I'd say you have a bad video card.
