Q: Ok so far when i go to System Information In XP, the total Physical memory shows 2048 bytes, and in other places Like the DXDiag, the Ram Capacity shows as 3318 Mb of ram, which is Like 3 Gb. Whats confusing is that In System Information it Shows as 2 GB of Ram. (2048 Bytes) and In XP's Help and support Center shows 2 GB of Ram in the Basic Computer Info Section. But in The Direct X Diagnostic tools it Shows as 3318 Mb.....I am not sure how much Ram is Being used in XP, And How Much Is Left. but I know for sure that the 2 Rams I Have (DDR2 Memory) Are Both 2 Gigs. The First ram is 2 Gigabyte. The Second Ram is 2 Gigabyte, All Together Should equal 4. I dont Think the 4 Ram wont Work in 32 Bit Version of Windows xp?? 2+2=4
A: only 64bit windows xp can utilize more than 2gb of ram
