Q: Well this started to happend about some months ago and now its becoming more persistent and it really do worries me.. WHat happend is, sometimes when i use the computer the computer just started to slow down, even i oopen a link in the net i would really have a problem in that, or just simply opening 'my computer" or start in the desktop would really take some time b4 i can open it then after i restart the com, i wount be able to get to the desktop anymore, the micrsoft xp loading screen would just keep on loading, i experience this twice already 1 is i ended up scan disking and 2 the com says disk read error and click cntrl alt del to restart. Im also experiencing this on mah games,when these happens it started to lag like hell and the movies in the game started to get screwed already. I ve tried diskfragmenting deleting cookies crap cleaner scan for virus with avg 8 specs AMD athlon 4000 2 gb of ram x1950 pro 512.. hope u guys can figure out whats wrong with this com..
A: Ok one problem is that as your computer gets older new programs are developed and require more from your computer such as ram or a processor so an older computer may slow down just because its becoming outdated also the more files you have on your computer the longer the computer takes to load. A couple of things to try: get rid of the icons on your desktop they take up space and have to load every time you start your computer also try limiting the programs you have launch on PC startup this will minimize the amount of time your computer takes to start. Also the person above me says you need Norton this is not true AVG is a fine working anti-virus and its free so you don't need Norton.
