Abnormal sound on my computer when booting...

Q: My computer produce a sound similar to a loud electric fan sound when booting...but after loading my OS, the sound will be gone.. I don't know what to do.. I just bought it last June and I don't think that it's already failing.. My friends told me that maybe the fan are just dirty and they suggest that I should clean them... But I'm worrying that I may have do it the wrong way.. In your opinion, what most likely the problem? Thanks in advance...

A: Startups can produce a flurry of CPU (processor) activity which may trigger the fan to come on. Once all your system is loaded (Windows?) the activity drops, as does the temperature of this component, so it sounds normal to me. To get around this minor annoyance, don't 'Turn Off' your computer, but rather, "Hibernate" it. In 'Control Panel > Power Options > Hibernate tab > check 'enable' To show this option; Start > Turn Off Computer > hold down the shift key & 'Turn Off' icon changes to 'Hibernate'. Doing this keeps all your last opened programs & data saved to the hard drive and keeps Windows already loaded, eliminating the spiked startup power requirements. It also uses nearly zero electricity in this state.
