A: the 9800gt is actually in the M group which means mobile, so its meant for a laptop/notebook the 8800gt is huge and is meant for a home pc computer as you can see they are practically the same in specifications, its just ones alot smaller and cools very diffrently then the other. The 8800gt can also be overclocked way beyond that of the 9800
