how do i install a second hard drive to my computer?

Q: it is all set up in the actual computer, connected via SATA cable and that other connection. i followed all the instructions given here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvNnFOrRexfKABC2.ZLiKXTsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080806195335AAC3pGO but none of this helped, the hard drive still doesn't appear. i the connection uses to connect the hard drive to the pc is a SATA Cable and another cable i don't know (my computer is a 2005 dell dimension 5100 model so whatever the type of cable was used in that) Here is a pic: http://i34.tinypic.com/2hzpahk.jpg The SATA is the blue cable and the unknown cable has 5 different wires, 2 black, 1 red, 1 orange and one white and is labeled P3 . At the end of P3 there is another connection that goes into my second hard drive and is labeled P5. What must i do? i followed these instructions: In windows, Go in administrative tools -> Computer -> Storage -> Disks. Actualize and activate the second hard disk. Format it and give it a letter (if you don't windows will chose for you) but there is no Actualize program that can activate the second hard drive? where can i find this option my new driver doesn't even show in this list, i have it all connected up but it isn't showing? what must i do?

A: The cables with plugs labeled P3 & P5 are just power cables. Without them the drives wouldn't run. As long as the SATA cables are also plugged in correctly now you have to get the drivers installed in setup the drives. Links from the previous poster has that.
