Q: I have bought the required wires (includes SATA cable) and i hook it up. i hear the hard drive turn on but it dosn't show up on my computer, only my 1st hard drive. how do i get it to show up in my computer as a separate drive? thanks SJ, i go into Computer Management and there is no Disks option, only Removable Storage, Disk Defragmenter and Disk Management. I clicked Disk Management it loaded up 3 drives, 1 hard drive and two CD/DVD drives but not the second Hard Drive. What do i do ?
A: If its a sata cable, you shouldn't have a jumper. Make sure you see the disk in your bios. In windows, Go in administrative tools -> Computer -> Storage -> Disks. Actualize and activate the second hard disk. Format it and give it a letter (if you don't windows will chose for you) Everything should be working fine after that
