Which processor and video adapter is better?

Q: So I'm pretty much decided on a MacBook Pro but I was wondering if it's processor is and video card are as good or better than the others in its class. Apple MacBook Pro - 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo and 256MB Nvidia 8600 GT Toshiba Satellite - Core 2 Duo T8100 and 512MB ATI HD 3650 HP Pavilion - Core 2 Duo T9300 and 256MB Nvidia 8400 GS Sony Vaio - Core 2 Duo T9300 and 256MB Nvidia 8400GT Dell XPS - Core 2 Duo T7250 and 256MB Nvidia 8600 GT What GHz are the non mac processors? Also what do the different numbers after the "T" mean? What are the numbers after Nvidia for the vid card and what is the difference between GT and GS I've read the Toshiba is best for games with its 512MB vid card and 3GB of ram and dual hard drives. I also read that the Toshiba is really fast. But Consumer Reports has the Apple #1 with a 73 score then Toshiba and Hp with 68. Also should I get the 4GB of ram with the Apple or just stick with the 2GB.

A: Satellite - 2.10 GHz Pavilion - 2.50 GHz Vaio - 2.50 GHz XPS - 2.00 GHz The numbers after the T's are just model numbers. I'm not sure what the difference between GT and GS is specifically, but GT will give you better performance. And no, I wouldn't pay another $200 for the other 2GB of ram. 2GB should work just fine.
