How do I set up my d: drive as a scratch disk for windows and all of my software? (I'm running windows XP)

Q:

A: turn OFF virtual memory on your C: drive and allocate a hefty amout of your D: drive to virtual memory right click "My Computer" - properties-advanced-settings (in Performance) - advanced - change Select No Paging File on your C: ... and Custom on your D: ... or set it to System managed and let Windows allocate what it needs ... remember to click on SET for each change otherwise you're wasting your time
