Q: i have a farley new gateway computer and was wondering why it always says system halted when i try to turn it on it is on my other computer but all sites say download this and i am like ugh help me please
A: Turn on the computer and immediately press either the F1 key or the F2 key at one-second intervals to enter the BIOS setup utility. Once in the BIOS, there should be a setting labelled "Halt On" or something similar. Use the arrow keys to scroll down to it, press Enter to open the options, then select "No Errors" or something similar. Press F10 to save and exit, and restart the computer. That should do it.
