Q: I bought one from crucial.com and got it today. I installed it based on the info I read prior online. After that I shut down, take screws off, insert the Ram and heard the click sound, and then turned off my computer. It didn't say that I add it new memory or something, nore do I feel any difference in computer's performance!! So how do I know to install it correctly?? And can I plz email you if I have more Qs until I get it right. Thanks for any help. I had it right! :) I checked my computer properties and the number is almost doubled, but still... I don't see that much difference, hmmm? Thanks ppl. You guys are the best!
A: right click on your "my computer" icon on your desktop. then click properties. you should see basic information on your system and how much ram you have. you probably won't notice any difference if your old ram was adequate. your computer might be slightly faster. and usually there's no pop ups saying "found new hardware".
