A: 1.Yes the Asus A8N-LA mobo will fit the case. The Asus mobo is a Micro-ATX form factor motherboard, and the RAIDMAX Scorpio is an ATX form factor computer case. On the Support Plate inside the case, you will find abbreviations stamped into the support plate. These will be near the threaded holes for the Standoff's. (Also called Spacer's. These are brass,{ Usually brass }, hex shaped pieces with a threaded hole on one end, and a threaded stud on the other) ATX means a full size ATX form factor mobo. MATX,(Or Matx), is for a Micro-ATX mobo. (Best thing to do when you get these parts? Lay the case on it's side with the left panel removed. Hold the mobo above the support plate, and use your eyes to line up the mobo holes, to the holes in the support plate. DON'T FORGET to de-static yourself before you touch any of this stuff! You'll fry the delicate computer hardware components if you don't! Just touch the metal frame of the computer case. DO NOT have the power supply plugged in to AC source of electricity at anytime during the build! I know, you know this stuff, but I have found users that don't!) Also be aware that the I/O shield on the RAIDMAX case, may not fit your mobo's I/O components. (I/O shield is the Input/Output metal plate on the back of the case. This is where your mouse, keyboard, etc., plug in.) You may have to see, if the I/O shield from your old case will fit the Raidmax case. It may not. 2.Power Supply. Take it out of the case, open your trash can, place it inside. Sorry, but for $46 bucks for a case, and Psu, you're not going to get a reliable, decent 420 watt Psu! This thing will lead you to heartache! Use the old one? Nope! About $50 bucks for a reliable decent 400 watt unit. I read 5) above before I stated this. Can't help it. People never seem to think about the power supply. A power supply is the 'Heart' of a computer. {Processor the 'Brain', Motherboard the 'Building Block'} The heart quits, so does everything else. Except in the case of a computer, it could take the processor, ram, motherboard, and graphics with it! Suggestion? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2143207&CatId=106 (May be $10 bucks shipping. Yeah, I know!) 3.You need to write down, and draw illustrations of how the front mic sound in, firewire, and USB connections on the HP mobo are, before you remove them. Match them to the existing cables on the front panel, and top. The motherboard link you gave helps, but the above info will apply it as you see it, not just a pictorial schematic. 4.The whole power button does not fit in your Raidmax case. You take the wires of the Power On button of the Raidmax case, and plug them into Pwr 1, or SW 1 pins on the HP mobo. Again write down, draw the connections on the HP setup, before you take this computer apart. I can't seem to find the PDF Motherboard Manual. HP won't let you have it, and Asus made this mobo for HP. (It's not on the Asus.com/Support website, or ELVB website, or Motherboards.org's-> MOBOT.{Checked Manuals, and Motherboard section of MOBOT also. I haven't given up yet! lol!) 5.Checked the price of shippin' sumpthin' lately? It's cheaper to ship in a large box, than it is to send something heavy. I had a mobo sent to me recently, and it cost $20 for shipping. I had a T-Top for my Corvette sent four months ago, and it cost $20 bucks!
