Q: actually I was using my PC suddenly its system speed was very slow means everything was halt after that i restart my system but no improvement was seen then i format my hard disk and reinstall sindows but i cant find anything positive can u tell me wat is the real problem is there any virus on my hard disk or some other problem kindly tell me wat i hav to do now ??
A: I strongly recommend that you download a free app called cleaner from www.ccleaner.com. This frees up hard drive memory, and sorts out registry problems, but backup valuable data first. Secondly, install AVAST ANTIVIRUS V4.8, it is antivirus and anti-spyware in one. Its free, you just need to register and get a serial code via email. Thirdly, im having the same problem. Since i got the internet the computer has been slowing down to a crawl. I have been advised by several people to get more RAM. My pc currently has 256mb of ram, and is running very slowly. How much does yours have. I recommend getting the maximum amount that it can hold (limited to the number of ram slots). I am going to get 2gb of ram for my dell dimension 2400 and replace the single 256mb stick with 2gb, 2x1gb sticks.
