Q: Hey guys, kinda at a loss here. As of a few days ago my microphone has stopped working. Currently im using a Microsoft Lifechat LX 3000 Usb Headset and up until now its always worked. My computer detects the microphone and the sound through the headset is fine, but my microphone picks up no sound whatsoever. i've tried the usual things, checking to see if its muted, and making sure its still set to the headset for sound recording in sounds and audio devices. hope somebody has some help for me, thanks alot
A: try another mic... if it works, then your mic is broken. If it doesn't work, then it's 99% likely to be a setting somewhere. If you use Vista, then there is a labrynth of settings you must navigate through to find them all... maybe u missed something.
