A: No, they're clean programs - however, they're very old, and on their own they don't work for copying newer protected DVDs. A good free solution would be to use DVDFAB HD Decrypter to decrypt the DVD, DVD Shrink 3.2 to shrink the DVD and then Decrypter to burn the resulting ISO.
