Q: My speakers were working fine, then I reformated my computer, and now they don't work.. When I go to the start menu and click on the volume control, it says there are no active mixer devices available..And then it tells me where to go to install mixer devices, but when I go there I don't know what to install, and I replugged in the speakers to the computer, and the green light is on, so I know they're working. Any idea? -- Also, after reformating and getting my internet up, whenever i go to a page, like this one, and iscroll the page scrolls, but very slow and choppy, and idea why that is, and what I can do to fix it? Thank you!
A: You need to install the drivers for your sound card. Take a look at my answer to this as it might help you: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkMZNco4duYOK1_3d2SOidDty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080725222548AAurXAM&show=7#profile-info-M06G334Jaa And the reason why your pages scroll slow and choppy is because you likely also need to install the drivers for your video card. To find them, do the same as I suggested on the other answer, but looking for a video card driver.
