Q: Hi my motherboard has gone and I'm looking at buying a new one just need some help. http://www.msicomputer.co.uk/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=251&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=171 Thats my old mobo http://uk.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=101&l3=308&l4=0&model=1181&modelmenu=2 Thats one I'm looking at buying But I need to know if the new one would take a nvid 8500gt video card From what I can see it will take my am2 scoket 64x2 5600+ cpu and it will also take the Ram as well. Also am I right in thinking that the copper tube is there for cooling? Please only answer if you know what your on about Cheers Rusty
A: The new motherboard will definately support both your CPU & Video card. It supports the am2 socket CPUs, as well as PCI Express for your Video card. The new motherboard uses the "ASUS Fanless Design:Heat-pipe Thermal solution" hence the cooling pipe to your chipset. Nice motherboard =)
