System Malfunction?

Q: My system was recently infected with hinhem.scr I deleted the file from the C: drive and restored the system to an earlier date. It was okay for a while but later the there appeared a malfuntion message on the screen and immediately went black thou the power button showed it was on All efforts to restart it failed and I left it overnight, In the morning The system re-started okay but soon went blank again, I tried to re-start and was okay I performed system restore successfuly. Now the problem is the system would function for about three minutes and stall completely and wont respend to any Keboard or mouse commands no matter how long and I have to forcefully shut it off and re-start again. This has happened several times and am now forced to use the system under safe mode where it seems to function normaly Any one with suggestions on how to restore it to its normal functions and what is wrong with it.

A: deleting the main file didn't do anything, it had already started infecting files. here's what you do... 1. shut off system restore points, the virus can use that to replicate itself. 2. boot up normally and download antivirus (avg free is great), install it, and update it. start a scan, if you can before the system shuts itself down. 3. if you can't, boot into safe mode and run a scan 4. when the scan is done (hopefully it got the virus), restart the machine, boot into windows normally. do another scan, it should come up clean. good luck!
