How to overclock my 2.8 Ghz Pentium 4?

Q: Look, im not even sure its worth it im just trying to get the most out of my current computer for the next 6 months until i get my new one. Im currently using a Dell Inspiron 1150 2.8ghz P.4 I believe i only have an integrated graphics card and not a dedicated one. Is it worth it? If so how do i go about doing it? You can send me an email through Y! Answers or answer the question and keep updating. Im just trying to quicken my computer until Christmas... Thanks to all that help!

A: Since it's a pretty old Dell-manufactured laptop, there is no way you can overclock it manually in BIOS, as those options to adjust clock speeds were taken out. You can probably overclock it using a software utility though. It's not worth it overclocking an old P4 system, as the performance gain will be minimal, and P4's aren't really good on overclocking... especially in a laptop setting where the CPU can get very hot quickly. But if you insist, here's a general overclocking utility - http://www.techpowerup.com/systool/
