Q: Im thinking about getting a Tablet to do some digital art on my Pc. I have narrowed my choices between two tablets. The first one is generally the nicest over all and slightly cheaper, but it has a resolution of 2000 lines per inch. The second, like I said, isn't quite as nice as the first, and its more expensive, but, it has a higher resolution of 3048 lines per inch. (Guess thats why its more expensive?) What I'm asking is, is there a very big difference in 2000lpi compared to 3048lpi? Please note that I'm mainly gonna be using this to draw in Photoshop. Please answer if you have experience with tablets, any help is appreciated! ^_^;
A: I would go 2000 lines per inch. That makes each line .0127 mm apart, so unless you only move your hand a few mm, you wouldn't know the difference. And as a tidbit, go with Wacom, they are the best brand hands down.
