Q: Hello,i recently purchased a nivida graphics card and installed it with no issue. After a week i decided to search up a update for it and installed it accordinly; However, after restarting,my com would go black after the splash screen(the desktop comes up from what i can hear so no picture).Im not too knowledable about computers so im not too sure what went wrong. im aware it may be a issue with my vga driver from what i looked up. My question is; how did updating my driver affect my vga or plug n' play adapter, resulting in no picture past my splash screen. How can i fix this, and or; how can i revert things back to before hand with my original setting with the old drivers, since i cant seem to get the old drivers now to work accordingly.Any answers?
A: remove the card, startup windows without the card. Uninstall all drivers and software for the card. Basically bring your machine back to the way it was before the new card. Then reinstall the updated driver shut down the machine and insert the card, that should work. If it doesnt work then the updated driver is the fault, make sure its for your OS version and the correct one for your card.
